The establishment of the Orava Gallery in Dolny Kubin in 1965 was made possible by the vigorous creative culture of the Orava region; by the amalgam of professional artistic activity and folk art expression. The administrative headquarters of the Orava Gallery is the County Hall, erected at the end of the 17th century and located in Dolny Kubin.
The gallery's collections are divided into eight scenic discipline.
