  • Podtatranske Museum Poprad
    Podtatranske muzeum in Poprad was founded by the Hungarian Carpathian Society in 1876. Due to the disagreements concerning to the localisation of the museum in 1882, was open the Tatran museum in Veľká and in 1886 the Carpathian museum in Poprad. In 1945 both of them were joined into one, named the Tatran museum of the district of Poprad, since 1961 the Podtatranské Museum. In 1978 the museum was given the building in Spišská Sobota and today it serves to the exposition purpose...
  • Tatran Gallery Poprad
    The Tatran Gallery was founded in 1960 with headquarters at Starý Smokovec. Today is has its seat at Poprad.
    The gallery is building up its collection of works of art with the topic of the High Tatras, a collection of regional art of the subtatran and Spiš region and a collection of 20th century Slovak art, with stress on art of east-Slovak provenience.

    The Belianska Cave, known by gold seekers as early as the first half of the 18th century, is located in an attractive environment of the Tatra National Park, in the eastern part of the national nature reserve Belianske Tatry.   • Castle of Kezmarok
    The city castle of Kezmarok was built as a defensive castle. lt is first mentioned in 1463 in connection with the Zapolsky family. Its history is linked with the Tokely family which had the originally Gothic fort rebuilt as a luxurious Rennaisance residence. They also built the baroque chapel. Last owner was Ferdinand Rueber nad in 1702 it was bought by the town of Kezmarok. The castle burnt down several times in the 18th century and was repaired in the 18th and 2Oth century. General restoration work was carried out between 1962-1985.
