    Senec
    Senec is a town in the Bratislava Region of south-western Slovakia. It is a well known summer tourism and recreation center. The town is attractive not only because of the proximity of Bratislava, the capital of Slovakia, but also because of the healthy environment and Slnečné jazerá (Sunny Lakes).The town was first mentioned in 1252. It has town privileges since the end of the 15th century. The actual name Senec, used since the first half of the 20th century, is derived from the historic names Zemch and Szempc.

    Open-Air Museum of Bee Keeping - Kralova pri Senci
    The Open-Air Museum of Bee Keeping is another interesting exhibition situated in the area of Včelárska paseka near Senec. It displays unique old hives, pops, baskets and various utensils used in bee keeping. The oldest of them is from the 17th century. The more recent exhibits are from the 19th and 20th centuries among which the figural hives, special beekeeping outfits and tools can be admired.

    The Turkish House
    This small renaissance - styled manor house was completed in 1560 after 4 years of building. The house was built by Mr Krištof Baťán from Bratislava and used to be the seat of general meetings about issues in the Capital. Later it was occupied by various companies and organizations. It is situated on the main square of Senec. The house was renovated in 1994 and the building was turned into an exclusive restaurant and café. Recently, the building was converted into an Asian restaurant.
